Thanks also to Steve Hartgroves, Principal Archaeologist,
We are on the Atlantic Highway (A39) map reference SX 18151 95489, about 7 miles south of Bude, North Cornwall, in the civil and ecclesiastical parish of Jacobstow.
Searching for "Wainhouse Corner" using any internet search engine brings up a multitude of references, mostly saying "turn right at Wainhouse Corner" or "near Wainhouse Corner", so we created this site to enable world-wide virtual access to our village.
Wainhouse Corner was a medieval settlement and is surrounded by a large bronze-age burial site.
